A general purpose, all position build-up wire with excellent compressive strength and resistance to plastic deformation that is ideal for use as an under base for subsequent hardfacing.

Stoody 964 AP-G
Developed for metal-to-metal wear applications, Stoody 964 AP-G is general purpose, all position hardfacing wire providing a typical hardness of 58-64 Rockwell C.  Specially formulated to deliver excellent resistance to impact and plastic deformation without cross checking; Stoody 964 AP-G is characterized by its use of small primary carbides in a martensitic matrix.

Stoody 965 AP-G
For metal-to-earth wear applications, Stoody 965 AP-G  general purpose, all position hardfacing wire yielding a typical hardness of 57-62 Rockwell C.  Deposits with Stoody 965 AP-G are forgeable but not machinable that provides a balance between impact and abrasion resistance.  Also suitable for metal-to-metal wear applications.

Outstanding Wear-Resistance in a Non-Chromium Bearing Hardfacing Consumable

Stoody 970-G is a non-chromium bearing hardfacing welding wire that provides a deposit with wear resistance and hardness equal to or better than conventional chromium carbide. With no chromium in the welding wire, the emission of hexavalent chromium during welding is reduced or completely eliminated (depending on the chromium content of the base metal or the pre-existing weld deposit. Stoody 970-G provides a wear-resistant overlay for applications where hexavalent chromium in welding fumes cannot be reduced by work practice controls.
